An Update from Parkview Dental of Westfield

Dear Parkview Dental Families,

As the COVID-19 outbreak continues to evolve, we want you to know we are here for you. Our highest priority is the safety and well being of our patients, our team and the communities we serve. To ensure this, here is what we are doing right now.

WE ARE NOW OPEN AND CAN HELP WITH ALL YOUR ORAL HEALTHCARE NEEDS.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

We have enhanced our procedures and upgraded our equipment to address the evolving guidelines from American Dental Association and New Jersey Dental Association.  We will continue to refine our practices to ensure the highest level of sanitation in our facility.

Below are some of the operational changes that you will observe when you next visit us.

• To honor social distancing protocols, our patients are advised to stay in their vehicle until their scheduled appointment time. In addition, we are happy to call and / or text you when we are ready to seat you in the dental chair. Please let us know the best way to contact you

• We prefer to have only the patient visit our facility. If it is necessary for another person to accompany a patient, please make us aware of it ahead of time so that we can ensure social distancing norms are followed

• Before each procedure, patients will be screened for body temperature and blood oxygen saturation level (pulse oximeter)

• Main office doors will remain open to minimize contamination from door handles

• Clear barriers have been installed to minimize direct exposure to front desk and office manager

• Dental staff will be using face shields while performing procedures

• Each operatory will be closed while in use

To maintain high level of sterilization we have enhanced our equipment to meet the highest operational standards, including:​

• Chairs have been equipped with extraoral vacuum evacuation device to minimize aerosols in the air

• Large HEPA 13 air filtration system with UV disinfection installed to cleanse office air four times every hour

• State of the art air filtration system with high-quality HEPA filter, carbon filter, UV light and Air Ionizer to eliminate pollutants and contaminants in each operatory

• Dental staff will continue to follow all infection control procedures that you have observed in the past
